The Undecided - September, 2001

The Undecided's new album "More To See" is almost the opposite of their previous self titled work. If the old album had eighteen short songs, this new CD represents a kind of maturation and a growth ( lyrically but especially musically ): there are less songs, only eleven, but the band worked on them much more, and you can hear this both from the clear sound that is recorded at its best and from the lyrics, that were not written at once, but there is a lot of thinking and "living" behind them. And then, this record was produced by Neill King, who already worked with such bands as Green Day, Jawbreaker and Buck-O-Nine, and this is a guarantee of good recording.

Although "More To See" does not have a lot of tunes, the band is able to make none of the eleven tracks sound the same: The Undecided play frantic riffs, as on "Lifted", "Sands Of Time" and "A Thought Away", but also delivers some sraight-up pop punk tunes, as "The Youngest Song" or "Cries For Jubilee" , that has a very catchy chorus; musically the album is augmented by creative issues like bass and drum runs and piano intros, without putting away the punk rock aggression that is main characteristic of this canadian band.

I give the advice to every music fan to give a listen to this album, it has good songs and the band is growing fast, thank to their hard work and touring ( they opened for such bands as P.O.D. ) and also the big medias noticed this band, as some of their recent songs were heard on MTV's "Road Rules Vs. The Real World" and "Fox Sportsnet"; so, be fast and you will be able to say you knew this band before they will be big.
